Attendance

Article 28 "Your right to learn and go to school."

Article 29 "Your right to become the best you can be."

Your child’s education is very important.  Attendance habits established when they are very young can affect our children for life.

Going to school every day means the children have opportunities to:

  • Have fun
  • Develop social skills
  • Access the curriculum
  • Make Friends
  • Take part in exciting activities
  • Play
  • Build lasting relationships
  • Have the best possible start in life
  • Become familiar with daily routines

Regular school attendance helps learners fulfil their potential and gives them a chance of a better future. Attending school every day and arriving on time from Nursery onwards will help give your child the best possible start in life. Helping the children to attend school regularly is an important part of this.

If you are concerned about your child’s attendance please speak to staff at the school.  By working together we can provide your child with the best possible start in life.
